Words from SUP Junkie Now in its seventh year, this race has grown to be important in the ICF calendar, and this was its second year as a World Ranking Event. Paddle UK has been made aware of multiple product recalls for buoyancy aids and life jackets sold through the online marketplaces AliExpress and Amazon, presenting a serious risk of drowning. The products do not meet the requirements of the PPE Regulation 2016/425. Black Zipped and Double Buckle Life Jacket ALiExpress ID: 1101409632 Hazard Information: The product was advertised as a life jacket, but once purchased was identified as a buoyancy aid (which does not provide the same level of protection). Paddler completes 300km cancer fundraising trek
An outdoor activities instructor has paddled about 300km (186 miles) on waterways in Yorkshire and Lancashire to raise money for Stand Up to Cancer. Jon Callow, 32, raised over £2,500 for charity after his fiancee, Anna Hall, was diagnosed with breast cancer. Jon, who runs River and Dale Adventures, a Paddle UK Delivery Partner, completed the Outer Pennine Ring, in seven days, on a Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP).
