Joe Clarke MBE, Nikita Setchell and Kimberley Woods were in kayak cross head to head action on the final day of slalom World Cup 1 in Augsburg, Germany.
After winning the time-trials and putting in an impressive performance during the first knockout round, Clarke was on course to progress through to the semi-finals.
A great start and leading the trio into the early gates, the three-time World Champion cut the lines fine on gate 5.
On review, Clarke was given a fault for not completing the gate correctly, meaning the Paris 2024 bound athlete didn't progress to the latter stages.
After winning bronze at the European Championships a fortnight ago, Setchell (Holme Pierrepont) too fell at the quarter-final stage.
The two-time U23 World Champion battled Kimberley Woods (Rugby) in the heats, just getting ahead of her British teammate on the final upstream to progress to the next round.
Setchell fought hard against Luuka Jones and Evy Leibfarth in the quarters, but couldn't quite make the top two needed.
World Champion Woods had got off to a great start to the day, winning the time-trials to qualify for the knockout stages, before Setchell got ahead of her in the heats.
Five further Brits were in time-trials action as Ben Haylett (Holme Pierrepont) was 0.03 seconds off the knockout stages in 21st place.
Jake Brown (Tees Tigers) was 0.3 behind in 24th, whilst Jonny Dickson (CR Cats) was on for a good run, but was given a fault on gate 7.
In the women's event, Mallory Franklin (Windsor & District) just missed out on the knockout stages in 23rd place, whilst Phoebe Spicer (Lee Valley) was half a second behind as she placed 24th.
