Mallory Franklin is Great Britain and Northern Ireland's most successful female slalom paddler ever. She made history in 2021 after winning Olympic silver as, like herself, the women's C1 event made its debut in Tokyo.

She was also in action at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games where she was a finalist in the women’s canoe, as well as being part of the first cohort to compete in the women’s kayak cross which made its debut in the French capital.

Her selection for Team GB came after a superb 2023 that saw Franklin win her second career individual world title with an unbeatable display in the C1 on home waters at Lee Valley. That performance secured Britain's boat quota place for Paris 2024.

At those home World Championships Franklin also won canoe team gold and kayak team bronze. A further three medals took her career World Championship tally to 16 ‒ seven gold, five silver and four bronze.

Franklin bounced back from the Paris 2024 Olympics with back-to-back kayak cross gold medals at the World Cups in Ivrea and La Seu, securing her second in the overall World Cup standings.

Franklin also has 18 career European Championship medals ‒ seven gold, seven silver and four bronze ‒ as well as a silver and bronze from the European Games in 2023. She won her first world medal in 2013 and first gold in 2017. Her first European medal came in 2012 and first gold in 2016.

Mallory has a 2:1 degree in Sports Therapy from the University of Bedfordshire.
