Chris Bowers is a men’s slalom kayaker, becoming increasingly known for his power and speed on the international circuit. He made his mark in kayak cross during a strong 2022 season, where he won his first World Cup gold medal in Krakow.
Bowers is also a strong performer in the K1 and claimed his maiden world title in the K1 team event in Rio in 2018 before following up with silver in Augsburg four years later.
In 2021, he concluded his final year as an under-23 athlete with bronze medals in the K1 at both the World and European Championships. That same year Bowers claimed the first senior European Championship medal of his career with bronze in the K1 team event.
Alongside his international paddling career, Chris is also a financial advisor.
