Volunteers gave up their time to help improve access to our Holne Bridge site in Devon.
Paddle UK and local paddlers purchased the land on the River Dart, in 1991, to secure a point of access to and from the river.
The strip of woodland now provides a convenient access and egress point.
Maintenance is managed by a local volunteer management group.
Following damage to the entrance area, the team resurfaced it with stone to make it more sustainable.
They also planted 50 holly bushes.
Huge thanks to Rob Feloy, Rob Dack, Sadie, Andy Humfreys, Andy Benham, Jacqui Dare, Liz Ronchetti and Adrian Evans.
They are members of Totnes Canoe Club and Teignbridge Canoe Club.
The site is accessible to those wanting to gain access to the river for paddling.
We also welcome wild swimmers to enjoy the space responsibility.
Donations towards the upkeep of the site are sought annually from clubs and individuals to pay for essential work.
Please use this email to find out more about how you can donate, or get involved in volunteering at the site.
