Paddle England's Athlete Support Fund is open for a second round of applications from eligible English athletes competing internationally.
The purpose of the fund is to provide some financial assistance to support athletes competing at British or English team representative competitions.
During round one of the funding window, in April, there were 26 applications, from a variety of competition disciplines and GB teams (Junior/U23/Senior).
A total of £7,500 was committed to help people who otherwise might have found attendance of the event not affordable.
We have supported people with varied circumstances, including care leavers, carers, university students claiming the full grant provision, or families who are undergoing significant financial hardship.

Funding in 2023
More than £5,000 was awarded in 2023 to help athletes reduce their costs.
Pete McNamara's daughter Evie is part of the GB Under-21 Canoe Polo squad.
He said: “The application process was straightforward, we got a decision well before
[Evie's] first tournament so knew where we stood in regards to whether she was accepted or not.
“The funding we received from the hardship fund went a long way to help Evie enjoy and compete in her first season for GB U21 Canoe Polo squad.
“The money paid for most of the squad fees and helped take away some of the financial pressures of having a daughter who is a talented athlete.”
Matthew Collinge is a sprint and marathon athlete.
He said: “I found the fund really helpful as it helped pay for my international trips, reducing the cost of racing.
“The application was relatively straightforward from what I remember, and it's worth applying for if you're thinking about it.”
Piran Philips is a Canoe Ocean Racing athlete.
He said: “The fund helped me to get Australia for the Ocean
Ski World Championships, the support helped relieve stress of work hours, and put more time into training hours.”
Laurence Reading is a freestyle kayaker.
He said: “I applied for some support for the World Championships in 2023, without the support I would not have been able to go.
“The application process was extremely easy and simple. It was also processed really quickly too.
“I am very grateful for the support and would encourage anyone who fits the criteria to apply.”
