Sunday saw sprint paddlers from across the country return for the second day of the Open & British, Masters and Under 23 Sprint National Championships.
National titles were on offer for many U23 and masters club paddlers, whilst junior and U23 athletes were also racing to be considered for World Championships selection in Plovdiv next month.
Lincoln's Tom Lambert added the U23 C1M 500m national title to his victories yesterday, with another convincing performance.
Lambert posted 2:06.55 as he looks to secure a place on the U23 World Championship team to go alongside the European Championships which he prepares for this month.
He said:
“Overall I'm really happy with this weekend. I've put some good times down given the conditions. It’s been more of a chance to drill in the race process and refine it for the remainder of the year.
“Racing the seniors in Poznan was great. I was nervous and felt like I was racing my first international again. I needed that though to get race nerves out the way so I can deliver the rest of the season.
“It's been great working with Anton (Vazquez). He's really helped me with working on the technique from last year and it's really showing that in my racing and times.”
“I want to see how close I can get to a podium at the U23 Euros. It's what I need to aim for.”
