Great Britain had plenty more to cheer after securing five sprint final places on day three of the ICF Junior and U23 Wildwater Canoeing World Championships in the Czech Republic.
Britain had accrued three golds after the first two days of classic races, but day three was all about qualification for Friday's finals as the sprint programme began at Roudnice Nad Labem.
Kerry Christie will go in two finals, the second with her sister Emma, while Huw Singleton qualified superbly in the junior men's K1, and Laura Milne and Molly Sandercock both made it through to the U23 Women's C1.
Triple classic gold medallist Kerry began her sprint campaign in the U23 women's K1 and gave herself a shot at a fourth medal after qualifying for the final.
The 20-year-old was the fastest Brit in heat one, and as the last paddler down, needed to beat 1min 07.17 to claim one of the remaining 10 qualifying spots.
And she did so with something to spare, finishing ninth-quickest in 1:06.03.
“I'm really, really pleased,” said Kerry.
“I'm not a sprinter at all so to get to the final was all I wanted to do. Wherever I come I'll be happy.
“In the C2, it will be really good if we get a medal – that's what I'm hoping for.
“Emotionally I'm really happy – I don't think I could be happier, but physically I'm quite tired!”
Molly Sandercock (Breakout) and Laura Milne (Pinkston Panthers) also had hope going into the second heat after finishing 17th and 18th respectively in heat one.
They could not replicate their earlier time, however, and finished just outside the top 10, Laura clocking 1:08.57 for 13th place, while Molly was a place further back with 1:08.92.
K1 classic bronze medallist Lucy Guest was going well but lost momentum in the final section to cross the line in 1:12.15 for 17th.
However, Laura and Molly will have a shot at a medal race in the U23 Women's C1.
Laura made it down safely in the heats in the ninth-quickest time of 1min 31.02secs, while Molly had a problem in the final section and clocked 2:24.29, but both made it through to Saturday morning's final.
Kerry will have two finals to contend on Saturday after coming safely through with sister Emma in the U23 Women's C2 heats.
The new classic C2 world champions eased to the line in 1:13.65 with the fourth-quickest time.
Huw Singleton produced a superb second run to book his place in the final of the junior men's K1.
Holding something back from the first heat, the Nottingham Kayak Club paddler went three seconds quicker to duck under the one-minute mark with a brilliant 59.44secs.
Needing a top 10 finish to make the final, Huw faced a nervous wait, but it ultimately proved enough to grab the final qualifying place.
“I didn't have a good first run so the pressure was on for the second and I just pulled really hard,” said Huw.
“I mainly focussed on getting the line right, missing the waves in the middle section and then blasting to the finish.”
The 16-year-old showed plenty of nerve to secure a final spot at what is his first world championships.
“It's a really tough course, very technical, and the junior boys is absolutely stacked this year so it's an honour to be in the final,” he added.
“I'm just going to race without fear, pull as hard as I can, and see where that takes me. Hopefully there will be a medal.”
Sam Stevely (Forth) also produced a scintillating second run in the junior K1, knocking almost four seconds off his earlier time to storm home in 1min 00.43secs. It earned him 14th place in a 50-man field.
Leon Tomlinson (Nottingham Kayak Club), who finished an excellent sixth in the classic race on day one, also netted a top 20 finish, crossing the line 18th quickest in 1:01.72.
Scott Ritchie (Pinkston Panthers) was fastest of the four Brits in the first heat with 1:00.19, but could not replicate it the second time around and finished in 22nd place in 1:02.31.
Day three opened up with the junior women's K1 where Ciara Maloney, Iona Patrick (Forth) and Elsie Landsborough picked up more priceless experience on the big stage.
Iona was the fastest British finisher in heat two, posting 1min 19.98secs for an encouraging 15th-place finish on her major championship debut.
Both Ciara and Elsie found trouble in the complex final section, but both made it safely to the line, Ciara improving her heat one time by 17 seconds to clock 1:31.95 for 20th, with Elsie a place back with 1:41.58.
Ryan Mallon (CR Cats) finished 19th in heat one of the junior men's C1 with 1min 18.79secs, a place ahead of Frome CC's Toby Wilde (1:20.52).
With the top seven finishers in heat two making the final, Ryan, the Scottish Wildwater Racing champion, shaved 0.31 seconds off his earlier time in heat two to claim 12th place.
Toby also improved his time, going exactly half-a-second quicker on his second run to finish 13th.
Mistakes on the course's tough bottom section denied Regan Toop (Wiltshire Youth), Toby Peyton-Jones and Will Stevely (Forth) a competitive time in heat one of the U23s men's K1, while Elliott Massey clocked 1min 06.77secs to finish 39th.
Will, Regan and Toby all took learnings into the second run, with Will going 14 seconds quicker to finish as fastest of the British quartet with a time of 1:09.07 for 29th.
Regan knocked 25 seconds off his first run to clock 1:09.07 for 33rd, with Toby a place back with 1.10.11, a time that was 26 seconds swifter than heat one. Elliott crossed the line in 1:11.77 for 36th spot.
