We are holding a regional sprint regatta at Worcester Canoe Club on Sunday 11 June. The first races will start at 10:30am and entries must be submitted online before the event. Check-in will be between 9am and 10am. (Please bring your own number boards.)
Timetable
10:30-2pm: K1 and K2 300m races
2pm to 4:15pm: K1 800m races, with a turn (shorter course for beginners and lightnings)
If time: 100m mixed relay
Details
Competitors will race in mixed bands depending on numbers, based on the National Sprint Classes A to D, lightings A & B and Intermediate U14 juniors, as well as a beginners’ class for youths (and adults) who are older than 14 but are not likely to meet the time cut-off standard for Girls or Boys D, (i.e. around 1:05 mins for 200m.)
Parking will be in the enclosure region of the racecourse at the end of Grandstand Rd. Food and refreshments will be available to buy.
Entries fees for the day are £10 per competitor. This includes a levy paid to British Canoeing sprint racing committee which goes towards supporting grass-roots sprint paddlers and events. Non-BC members will be charged an extra £5.
