British teams won an impressive ten medals at the IRF R4 World Rafting Championships in Banja Luka in Bosnia and Herzegovina last week.
Seven British Rafting teams travelled to the World Championships as they battled it out across four days of racing in a number of events.
GB1 Masters Women (GB Women's Rafting) came away with an impressive five medals including gold overall, as well as gold in the sprint, head to head and downriver, finishing second in the slalom to take silver.
In their first international competition as a crew, GB2 Masters Women (NottLadyLike) also impressed as they won gold in the slalom ahead of their British competitors, whilst taking silver in the sprint, head to head and downriver.
Their performances saw them take silver overall, taking their total to five medals for the event.

GB1 Open Women (Red Rose Rafting) were incredibly close to making it 11 medals for the competition, as they finished fourth in their slalom event.
They said:
“GB1 OW were incredibly proud of their standing, particularly their 4th place in slalom.
“All the training this year came together at the right moment. The competition was an amazing experience allowing us to paddle with the best teams in the world.”
