Lois Leaver enjoyed a personal best season as an under-23 in 2023 as well as being exposed to senior level. The Scottish athlete reached her first senior World Cup final in La Seu, placing ninth overall in the K1 event.
She built on that to secure a place on the senior team for 2024 following a series of impressive runs in the individual kayak and kayak cross events during the British selection series.
At under-23 level in 2023, Leaver joined forces with Ellis Miller and Phoebe Spicer to win World Championship gold in the kayak team event. She also placed fifth in the K1 at the European Championships for her best ever individual finish.
Leaver first joined the World Class Programme in 2022 and won silver in the K1 team event at the European Under-23 Championships in 2021.
Leaver's brother Sam also represents the British team in the sport.
