After winning three silver medals from across the 2021 and 2022 World Championships, Hope Gordon reached the top of the globe in 2023.
The Scottish athlete won her first world title in the VL3 event in Duisburg, qualifying the British boat quota spot for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, where the event will make its debut.
Gordon moved to paracanoeing from swimming in 2018 and made her international debut in her new sport in 2019. In 2022, she demonstrated the wide range of her talent by competing at the Beijing 2022 Paralympic Winter Games, where she became ParalympicsGB's first ever female Para Nordic skier.
Later that year, back in paracanoeing, she had a tight battle with British teammate Charlotte Henshaw at the multi-sport European Championships in Munich, claiming VL3 silver. She also won a further bronze in the KL3.
Outside of the sport, Gordon graduated with a 2.1 Honours degree in Sport and Exercise Science from Edinburgh Napier University in June 2018.
