Ellis Miller enjoyed a big year in 2023, achieving a number of personal bests in canoe and kayak throughout the international season not just as an under-23 but as a senior too.
Called up as a late replacement for the World Championships at Lee Valley, Miller would combine with Kimberley Woods and Mallory Franklin to win gold in the C1 team event.
Prior to that, Miller reached her first senior individual final in the C1 at the third World Cup event of the 2023 season in Tacen, finishing fifth overall.
She then claimed K1 team gold alongside Phoebe Spicer and Lois Leaver at the World Under-23 Championships, also placing eighth and tenth in the C1 and K1 finals respectively.
Miller earned selection for the World Class Programme in 2019 ‒ inspired into the sport by the London 2012 Olympic Games ‒ and made her international debut as a junior in 2017.
