Deborah Kerr capped an incredible 2021 season with a strong Olympic Games debut, finishing eighth in the K1 200m final in Tokyo.
Winning the K1 200m and K1 500m at the April selection regatta to start 2021 and then the European Olympic qualifier in the former, Kerr claimed her first senior international medal with bronze at the World Cup in Szeged. That performance surpassed her previous World Cup best of fifth.
As well as finishing eighth in the Olympic K1 200m final, she reached the semi-finals in the K1 500m in Tokyo.
Following her Olympic debut, Kerr once again pulled on the Team GB vest this time at the 2023 European Games in Krakow, where alongside Rebii Simon, Emma Russell and Emily Lewis, they placed eighth in the K4 500m.
