Bethan Forrow was just 17 when she made her debut for the British senior team in 2018, defying her age to win European gold in the C1 team event alongside Mallory Franklin and Kimberley Woods.
She finished an impressive ninth individually before capping a remarkable 2018 with two outstanding performances at the World Championships in Rio.
Forrow added the world C1 team event title to her growing list of honours, again with Franklin and Woods, and improved to finish eighth individually.
Introduced to the sport through British Canoeing's London 2012 legacy programme at Lee Valley, Forrow has built upon her impressive start to the elite level by winning a host of age-group international medals.
This includes world under-23 gold and European under-23 silver both in the C1 in 2021. A year later in 2022 she won back-to-back world under-23 and European under-23 team bronze medals.
