Hedge planting begins at Paddle UK site
About 90 metres of hedging has been planted as part of wider habitat improvements at Paddle UK’s Toll Paddock site on the River Wye. Hawthorn, Blackthorn, Hazel, Field Maple, Dog Rose and Crab Apple were among the native species planted. These reflected the existing native hedgerows in the area. Toll Paddock, Hoarwithy, is located alongside the banks of the River Wye, Herefordshire. The site lies within Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is designated a Special Area of Conservation.
